Brassart was created in 1949 and originally provided training courses in tradition arts before moving towards graphic and digital design. They began teaching 3D in 2002, acquired the 3D specialized school “ESMI” in Bordeaux in 2017, and became a new entity in 2019 with the acquisition of the group “Ecole Aries” who is specialized in 3D Design, VFX, Animation and Video Games. Brassart in 2020 is made up of 12 schools proposing programs in Graphic Design, Video Games, and 3D, VFX, & Animation.
Success Stories
The Brassart alumni network is made up of nearly 10,000 students. Most former students are based in France but a growing number are pursuing their careers abroad in the biggest studios.

My memories of the school are filled with technical knowledge but also of my own personal development. The final year is dedicated to the “End of Studies Project” and teaches us how to work in a team to solve both technical and human problems. You leave the school stronger and a better person.
Facilities
Brassart schools are human size : between 80 students for the smallest schools to more than 300 for Bordeaux or Lyon. In 2019 Brassart made modernization of its campuses a priority: Lyon has a new building since October 2019, Grenoble and Aix-en-Provence will receive their buildings in 2020. The other schools will follow.

Industry Networking
Brassart is part of several professional industry networks to keep themselves as connected as possible to the professional world. It also allows them to participate in professional events: FMX, Annecy International Film Festival (Pixar gives Renderman masterclass in our school of Annecy during that week each year), Mtl Effects in Montreal… Students participate to international contests: Pixel Challenge in 2018, some students received awards at The Rookies contest in 2018 and 2019 (Aries was in top 10 for VFX in 2018).
Brassart is also part of Erasmus+ programme which facilitates the organization of masterclasses taught by european professionals. The main international partner is Howest – DAE ranked by the rookies as best school in the world 2 years in a row. Brassart also works with Nad in Montreal, Quebec.
