Winners Announced - Autodesk RIG.B Challenge

Who won the Autodesk sponsored RIG.B challenge hosted on The Rookies website

Have you been eagerly waiting to hear who won the Autodesk sponsored RIG.B challenge hosted on The Rookies website? Well, the wait is over! After much anticipation, the winners have been announced and they are nothing short of amazing!

The RIG.B challenge had three categories: texturing, animation, and FX, and each category had some impressive entries. The judges had a tough time picking the final winners because the entries were all so fantastic!

Let's get to the winners!

In the texturing category, the winner is Lagouche Benjamin for his outstanding work on the "WHAT IF...?" character. Lagouche use of textures, attention to detail and meeting the brief, really stood out, and it's clear he put a lot of effort into his submission. The runner up for this category is Liwros, who did some incredible work on "Broken Robot" character. Excellent attention to detail and great use of the water environment really made the entry shine!

Moving on to the animation category, the winner is Lee Hanbean for his animation of the "Fall". David's animation was smooth and really captured the essence of falling in a tight space and sense of weight on the landing. The runner up for this category is Charlie Franco for his animation of the "Charlie Franco - RigB Contest Entry" . Charlie's attention to detail in adding the subtle secondary animation and the progression of his entry from the start to the finish got him across the line!

Last but not least, in the FX category, the winner is John Fanny for his stunning FX work on his entry called "RIG.B" . Johns' final presentation and use of particles and simulation really brought the model to life. The runner up for this category is Manuel Fernández Rubio, who did some amazing work on his "VFx of my animation". Michael's use of lighting and subtle FX really made his entry stand out!

All the winners will be receiving some fantastic prizes, including 3 x GoBoxx SLM Laptops, Adobe Creative Cloud Subscriptions, Wacom Tablets and gift cards. But, the real prize is the recognition they have earned for their hard work and talent.

Congratulations to all the winners and runners up! Your entries were truly outstanding, and we can't wait to see what you'll do next. And a big thank you to Autodesk for sponsoring this incredible challenge!

Wow! There were some seriously cool entries in this competition! I had so much fun going through them all and checking out the different projects. It was especially awesome when the entries included a backstory about their RIG.B character. All of the winners were crazy talented and it was tough to choose just one winner!
