MA 3D Computer Animation
This Master’s in 3D Computer Animation, delivered by the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA), is the perfect launch-pad for a career in a wide range of disciplines, including concept design, character and creature animation, modelling, lighting, rigging, texturing, compositing and simulation.
Develop the skills needed to work in a number of areas where computer animation is applied, including films, animated features, computer games, television production, commercials, illustration, scientific visualisation, flight simulation, virtual environments, architectural visualisations and interactive media.
MA Digital Effects
This is a truly international course, attracting students from all over the world with a diverse range of cultures and identities. We aim to take you from no experience to cinema standard photorealism within the first semester and to provide you with the skills and opportunities to realise your ideas into full production sequences that demonstrate a clear mastery of the subject. MSc Computer Animation & Visual Effects
The Computer Animation & Visual Effects course, delivered by the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA), will assist you to become skilled in the technical aspects of computer animation and to graduate with the range and depth of technical knowledge necessary to become future Technical Directors, Artists or Research and Development Engineers within the computer animation and games sectors.
Through a combination of theory and practical projects, both individual and collaborative, you’ll gain the experience and skills to work alongside computer animators to resolve technical problems either by configuring existing software tools or designing new tools.
BSc (Hons) Games Design
Our BSc (Hons) Games Design degree focuses on the design aspect of creating contemporary video games; exploring everything from the theory behind the creation of successful digital entertainment titles to the generation of dedicated art and content for them.
BU is a member of The Independent Games Developers’ Association (TIGA), and our Games courses have been nominated by TIGA for Best Educational Institution.
Currently being considered for accreditation by TIGA, the course covers level design, interactive storytelling, narrative development, interface design, games analytics, scripting for game creation, plus 3D modelling and texturing for games. The degree follows a curriculum that is intended for specialising exclusively in the art and design aspects of video games creation.
