Weekly Drills 005 - #Aviation

Weekly Drills 005 - #Aviation

This week we want you to get your fly on! The topic is all about the aviation industry. You could go all out and build an Airbus A380, go old school and build a Spitfire fighter aircraft, or even go a bit left field and build a pushback tug.

This week your drill is to create an image about the world of aviation. Then tag it #RookiesWeeklyDrills and #Aviation.

Winner

Weekly Drill - Savoia seaplane
3D recreation of the plane from studio Ghiblis movie Porcorosso

Second Place

#WeeklyDrills 005 - RAF Aviator Goggles
Since I didn’t want to model a whole plane I decided to create these pilot goggles. I used Maya to model, Substance Painter to texture, Arnold to render and Nuke to polish the raw images.

Third Place

Spaceship (Concept by Nar Genc)
Here is a spaceship I modelled and textured from a concept by Nar Genc. I combined the toon shader pass with the semi-realistic beauty pass to create a different style. After this, I created an environment for it.

F.A.Q

How many entries can I submit?
As many as you want.

How do I tag my project?
During Step 2 of the project building process, you will see a tag input field in the right column under your project title and description input fields. Note: Do not include  "#" with your tag (eg: #RookiesWeeklyDrills), the tool already handles that for you. See below for example.
