This week your drill is to create the best eye you've ever created, then tag it #RookiesWeeklyDrills and #HumanEye.

This week is all about human anatomy. At some point in every digital artists journey you challenge yourself to create an eye. You start off thinking it's going to be easy, but before long you realise that they are seriously complicated to look good. This drill is all about research, you can't create a good human eye without truly understanding how an eye works - so make sure you don't skip this step. We are looking for realism this week, not toony eyes.

To get some feedback on your work-in-progress project before you submit it, head over to Discord channel and chat with other artists having a crack. To see all the Weekly Drill projects just follow this link.

Winner

#WeeklyDrills014 -- Human Eye
For my first weekly drills, I focused on the sculpting & topology of the eye area. I also wanted to convey some β€œcharacter” even though it was a close-up as the musculature around the eye has plenty of intricacies that I wanted to practice on.

Second Place

Weekly Drill 14 - Human Eye
Drill for Week 14 - Human Eye

Third Place

Weeky Drill -Human Eye.
My second weekly drill submission - a procedural Iris network.

F.A.Q

How many entries can I submit?
As many as you want.

How do I tag my project?
During Step 2 of the project building process, you will see a tag input field in the right column under your project title and description input fields. Note: Do not include Β "#" with your tag (eg: #RookiesWeeklyDrills), the tool already handles that for you. See below for example.
