Weekly Drills 054 - #Soul

This week we want you to create a new character from the Academy Award winning movie, Soul - created by Pixar and tag it #RookiesWeeklyDrills and #Soul.

Pixar's jazz-infused Soul recently won the Academy Award for best animated feature. The movie features the vocal talents of Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Phylicia Rashad, Questlove, Angela Bassett and Daveed Diggs. In this week's drill, we are challenging you to choose a famous actor/actress, then design and build  a new character that would fit perfectly into the imagined world of Soul. You can create your new character in 2D or 3D. Reference images provided below.

Rules

• Use your favourite art supplies, software and workflow.
• Only submit work created during this week.
• Submit as many entries as you want.
• You can use concept art, models, textures and other assets and include it in your project. However, make sure to credit the artist by linking to their work and explain exactly what you created.
• You must tag your project with #RookiesWeeklyDrills and #Soul
• Submission close Monday 11 May @ 7:00pm CST

Judges

Justin Mohlman will evaluate entries and select a winner based on quality, creativity, and adherence to the challenge theme.
