The idea for this challenge is to help you create a cool collection of rock shaders that can be showcased in your portfolio, and used in your next projects. At some point, every digital artist needs a good rock shader so let's not put it off any longer. Software choice is completely open. You can use Blender, Maya, Substance, or anything else that you feel comfortable using. When it comes time to present your shaders please use a standard sphere with 3 point lighting to show off your work to its full potential. TIP: Include breakdowns and details about elements/settings used to create your rock shaders.
To get some feedback on your work-in-progress project before you submit it, head over to Discord channel and chat with other artists having a crack. To see all the Weekly Drill projects just follow this link.
