Rookie of the Week

Maxim Chenel

Where are you currently located?

Montréal, Canada.

When did you first realise you wanted to work in creative media?

Picturing the life and story of a fictional character is fascinating to me. And even more so to bring, through modeling and texturing, that character to life in every detail. That’s why I am a character artist, to transform a spark of imagination into something we can relate to. Either that spark is from other artist’s concept, or straight out of my mind, there is something fulfilling in transposing the idea and concept in the 3D space.

What are your career goals?

I want to become either a fully independent freelance character artist, or work within a studio that shares the same value as I do.
