Krita could be the free digital painting software you've been looking for
I'm a big fan of free software that helps artists get access to professional level tools, and Krita is most certainly one of those. Proof is always visual though, so I've pulled together some of my favourite projects from this year that use Krita.
Krita is the full-featured free digital painting studio for artists who want to create professional work from start to end. It's used by comic book artists, illustrators, concept artists, matte and texture painters and in the digital VFX industry. Most importantly, it's used by a whole bunch of Rookies, and for good reason.
Krita has several features that are unique or a first among free software painting applications: support for color spaces other than RGB, like CMYK, support for HDR painting, painting assistants, a perspective grid. The Krita developers are keen to support the artistic community that has grown around Krita.
Feature talk aside, this isn't a paid promo post, I'm just a big fan of free software that helps artists get access to professional level tools, and Krita is most certainly one of those. The engraving took more than 2 years to complete, and no other model was ever made. The tris count is 5.6K and I
While doing this project, i realise that model is veery important, cuz it will effect uvs and texture stuff. when modelling i extract and extract, adding lines, after that looking back thr was so many NGONS waitting for me to fix. :O welp better work next time :)
Here's a test of using panner movement for two static textures while combining them with a multiply node to offset the movements in the X and Y axis. The material is suppose to be emissive, but I haven't gotten the portal to light the environment yet. I'm having issues with building lighting in general though so far.
